MoDo and the voices in her head talk to Nancy Pelosi

MoDo is generally demented about female politicians. And she's often often nuts about the male Democratic variety, too. I don't think she did Nancy Pelosi any favors with this column and most likely didn't intend to. (Trump and Pelosi are both like Mussolini!) But Pelosi didn't do herself any favors with the Democratic base, either. (Maureen Dowd, It's Nancy Pelosi's Parade New York Times 07/06/2019)

Because even most Democrats still inclined to hide uner the table at the sound of the word "socialism" - which for Republicans in the Trump era just means "Democrats of any kind" - expect to see the Democratic House try to do substantive things to blocks Trump's criminality.

MoDo found some unnamed Democrats who say they've decided Pelosi is awesome. She's famous for confusing the voices in her head with actual people. So it strikes me that the editors may have intervened here and told her, no, you can't say you spoke to Adlai Stevenson and Hubert Humphrey yesterday and they told you this.

MoDo comes to the considered conclusion, "Pelosi has offered a master class, with flair and fire, on how a woman can spar with Trump."

And I don't assume that MoDo's mind, which was already hopelessly garbled over the Whitewater pseudoscandal in the 1990s and has deteriorated ever since, is capable of rendering a decent context to whatever she's quoting. But this one is at least consistent with things Pelosi has been saying in public:
"You would think that within a couple of days, 48 hours or so, of seeing that little child with her father, there would have been some challenge of conscience," she said of Republicans. "But understand this: They don’t care."
A message that Republicans are acting completely without conscience is just not consistent with, we'll never, ever, try to impeach Trump for anything no matter what!"

BTW, John Dean wrote a book about the dominant conservatives in the Republican Party published in 2006 titled Conservatives Without Conscience. How many decades will it take the Democratic leadership to catch on?

Also, even though the NYT still publishes MoDo's columns, the minimum they could do would be to decline to publish whatever she writes down within a week after seeing a Pride Parade. She's demented about politics and gender even on her best days.
