New videos from Shakira Mebarak

The always-awesome Shakira has a few new videos on her YouTube channel from the last few days. Plus this one on the Global Citizen channel, her Global Goal video, Shakira Performs "Sale el Sol" | Global Goal: Unite for Our Future 06/27/2020, with her introduction emphasizing the risk of COVID-19 in Latin America and Africa:

She has three videos of older songs, including what seems to be contemporary footage of her singing (or lip-synching). One is No Creo (Video Oficial) 06/22/2020. The visual just after 1:25 provides a whimsical twist to the looking-for-ways-to-understand-the-world lines, "No creo en Carlos Marx/No creo en Jean Paul Sartre". Did anybody ever really carry signs saying, "Sartre Vive!"?

The new video for The One includes an obvious reference to contemporary protest against racist police violence:

Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are together on supporting the Trump-Pence regime change operation in Venezuela. At least on Saturday.

If I were Al Bundy from Married With Children, this is where I would say, "Just shoot me now."

No matter how many political or show business stars sign on to today's manuever that's very clearly aimed at creating a pretext for direct US military intervention, it's still a really bad idea.

Elliott Abrams is the Trump-Pierce Administration's special envoy in charge of this regime change operation. It.Will.Not.End.Well. It will not.

Some or all of those three may be looking at this as a "safe" position that doesn't explicitly endorse regime change. But echoing the Mike Peance-John Bolton-Elliott Abrams position at a critical moment is a bad move, nevertheless.
