Here's Biden's video appearance which includes Sanders endorsing him, Livestream: @Bernie Sanders Endorses Joe Biden to Defeat Donald Trump 03/14/2020:
Biden's opening remarks are cut off, one of those things the Biden campaign needs to improve (deep sigh).
The two campaigns obviously worked together on the appearance. And Biden here manages to sound like an actual Democrats. Though he soon falls into more of the wishlist format of typical establishment Democratic speeches. He even works in some words of concern for young people instead of, you know, sneering at them.
Biden is a conservative Democrat. And his Presidency will reflect that, if he wins. That's why it so important for the activist base of the Democratic Party push Biden to act seriously on the rhetoric he's using here.
Because at-least-he's-not-as-bad-as-Trump is not good enough to win the election in November. And it's certainly not enough to put the Democratic Party on the road to the sort of transformative change that is so badly needed. After four years of Obama, who many Democrats obviously still see as The Best That We Can Do, we wound up with Donald Trump as President.
This is qualitatively the best appearance I've seen from Biden since he adopted the home studio mode. He's going to have to keep the hits against Trump coming.
