"Many of the Democrats who want to challenge Trump in 2020 have frequently referred to the string of sexual-misconduct allegations against the president himself, but there has been little appetite for making the Kavanaugh case a major campaign talking point, in part because the episode was so polarizing," reports Laura King for the Los Angeles Times (Trump rallies to Kavanaugh’s defense after new sexual misconduct allegation surfaces 09/15/2019).
I'm not sure what "making the Kavanaugh case a major campaign talking point" even means.
The question is whether the House will bring use its impeachment power against Kavanaugh, Trump, or any other miscreant in the current administration.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's repeated insistence that impeachment shouldn't be attempted until they are already sure they will have enough votes for conviction in the Senate has signalled to everyone that they have nothing particular to fear from this Democratic-majority House.
This is not a good thing.
And, of course, it's a disgrace to the Senate and the Republican Party that they approved this punk Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court at all.
