TechBro dystopia is rolling forward

Kyle Kulinksi and Krystal Ball interviewed journalist Gil Duran on the current state of TechBro ideology and how the Musk-Trump Administration is implementing a version of it. (1)

I’ve been using a gravity analogy to think about the TechBro/Heritage Foundation government will go, i.e., you can pretend that gravity doesn’’t exist but it will still send you crashing to the ground if you jump off a cliff. Their crackpot radicalism is already having bad results and they are going to do far more damage until they are blocked.

In 2012, Curtis Yarvin — Peter Thiel’s “house philosopher”—called for something he dubbed RAGE: Retire All Government Employees. The idea: Take over the United States government and gut the federal bureaucracy. Then, replace civil servants with political loyalists who would answer to a CEO-type leader Yarvin likened to a dictator.

Yes, people who mistake Ayn Rand novels for serious political understanding are calling the shots in what is nominally the Trump Administration.
